Paralegal - Special Needs & Estate Planning
Clancy & Associates is seeking a paralegal, legal assistant, or paralegal student to join our mission‑driven team. We specialize in special needs planning, estate planning, and guardianship with a focus on client‑centered service and community support.
Location:
Chicago metropolitan area
Base pay range:
$56,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience
Signing Bonus:
$1,500 signing bonus ($500 at 30, 60, and 90 days and upon successful completion of the probationary period)
Key Responsibilities
Draft and prepare legal documents including wills, trusts, special needs trusts, deeds, and powers of attorney
Review and edit documents with accuracy and attention to detail
Assist attorneys with scheduling and client communication
Maintain and organize client files with precision
Communicate with clients to collect information and provide updates
Use legal technology tools (Clio preferred) to streamline workflows
Requirements
Attention to detail, organized, efficient
Empathetic communicator who handles sensitive conversations with professionalism and care
Proactive team player who takes initiative
Tech‑savvy, comfortable with legal software, eager to learn
Mission‑aligned: passion for serving families; experience with individuals with disabilities a plus
Estate planning experience highly preferred, but not required
