RN/LPN Unit Manager – Eastern Healthcare Group

Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day‑to‑day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
Prepare and administer medications orally, subcutaneously, or intravenously; record prescriptions and report adverse reactions per policy.
Educate patients on surgical procedures and record medical information and vital signs.
Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpret electronic displays, and record findings.
Initiate corrective action for patients displaying adverse symptomatology.
Provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical conditions, including pre‑ and post‑surgery patients.
Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
Participate in discharge planning.
Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner on appropriate forms.
Supervise support staff and licensed nurses.
Qualifications
Current RN license in the state (or current LPN license in Virginia if applicable).
First aid and CPR certification.
Current BLS certification.
Exceptional staff training and customer service skills.
Compassionate, friendly demeanor.
Willingness to make a difference.
