Business Analyst 3 / BA3 – UNICON International Inc.
Join UNICON International Inc. in Columbus, OH for a Business Analyst 3 position onsite. Salary range: $104k–$109k. Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, 401(k).
Responsibilities
Act as the intermediary between business and IT to achieve desired outcomes.
Elicit high‑level requirements and capture business needs.
Understand customer journey and define user requirements.
Identify unarticulated business needs and coordinate between stakeholder groups.
Provide consultative support on business‑led technology initiatives.
Collaborate with technical team to create prototypes and co‑design solutions.
Analyze, specify, and validate business needs.
Collaborate with project sponsors to determine scope and vision.
Conduct interviews and gather requirements via workshops, surveys, use cases, scenarios.
Prioritize collected requirements and manage status throughout lifecycle.
Assist in defining and executing test cases.
Communicate changes and enhancements to stakeholders.
Provide guidance to junior staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skill Sets
BS/BA degree or combination of education & experience.
10–14 years of broad IT experience in at least three domains such as Applications Development, Enterprise Architecture, Project Management, Vendor Management, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, or Support.
8+ years of IT Business Analyst experience, especially in developing business, functional, and non‑functional requirements.
Experience conducting facilitated workshops for requirements gathering.
Experience creating workflows using BPMN.
Extensive experience converting requirements to use cases and user stories with acceptance criteria.
Demonstrated ability to engage developers and business partners to achieve target outcomes.
Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical, communication, risk assessment, and problem‑resolution skills.
Desired Skill Sets
IIBA‑certified Business Analyst.
Experience in Medicaid and/or healthcare systems development.
Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong customer service orientation.
Pattern recognition and continuous improvement mindset.
