Job Description
This position is responsible for maintenance and repairs related to the meter services/repair group. Employees in this group generally work independently (solo) performing water meter related maintenance and repairs. Employees interact face to face with customers assisting in troubleshooting and resolving issues. Essential Duties
Perform preventive maintenance; inspecting equipment and materials for proper installation and potential problems or hazards. Replace, install and test residential and commercial meters. Utilize specialized equipment and computers to analyze data and enter field work orders. Assist customers with on-site questions and concerns regarding utility services. Complete forms and report detailed activities and findings. Maintain and stock assigned service truck with necessary equipment and materials used to complete tasks. Work in confined spaces; also involves squatting, kneeling, lifting and excavating with shovels and other hand tools. Performing other duties of a similar nature or level. This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing. This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays. Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program. Minimum Qualifications

Grade: B21(3) - $44,968.00 - $71,948.00 High School Diploma, or G.E.D., and two years of related work experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Valid driver's license of residency. Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License. Water Distribution/Wastewater Collection License. Confined Space certification within 6 months. WR Trades Associate III
Grade: B23(3) - $53,286.00 - $85,258.00 High School Diploma, or G.E.D., and four years of related work experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Valid driver's license of residency. Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License. Water Distribution/Wastewater Collection License. Backflow Certification. Confined Space Certification.
