Responsibilities
Perform PMs and oil changes.
Grease trucks and trailers.
Conduct tire services.
Carry out CSA/DOT inspections.
Service calls and night call‑outs.
Conduct intermediate to advanced electrical repair and diagnose failures.
Complete intermediate to advanced wheel‑end repair (S‑cam/bushing replacement, spindle repairs, race and bearing replacement, wheel seals, etc.).
Perform intermediate air‑system repair (basic diagnostics, tank replacement, air bags, leveling valves, dash valves, etc.).
Conduct basic HVAC repair (evacuate & recharge, verify causes of failure).
Complete basic coolant repairs (thermostat, water pump, hoses, fittings, radiator, etc.).
Perform basic welding.
Conduct basic starting/charging (batteries, alternators, starters, etc.) and diagnostics.
Complete basic engine repair (belts, tensioners, pulleys).
Perform basic steering/suspension work (shocks, reservoirs, filters, alignment, etc.).
Perform basic drivetrain and transmission repairs (clutch adjustments, U‑joints, carrier bearings, etc.).
Maintain shop cleanliness and organization.
Ensure all service equipment is in good working order and repaired when needed.
Store parts, tires, and tools properly.
Complete work orders with customer information, labor performed, parts used, and warranty details.
Ensure customer satisfaction and protect the Bosselman brand.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Complete OSHA Skills Demonstration within the first week.
Stay current on all LMS training.
Provide friendly and competent customer service.
Report for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
Additional Job Duties
Assist in other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications Education and Experience:
Tire Service Certified by TIA within 18 months of employment
Air Brake Certification
DOT Medical Card required at Boss Shops
Minimum two years experience as a diesel technician
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license and insurability to drive
Complete brake training
Complete wheel seal training
Attend HVAC, Electrical, and DOT training
Obtain ASE, DOT, TIA, and other certifications
Work weekends, holidays, and as needed
Reliable transportation and phone
Proficient English language skills (if applicable)
Provide friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service
Work cooperatively with other team members
Show proficiencies required by Tech I training program
Physical Requirements The role requires occasional lifting or moving up to 75 lbs.; frequent standing, walking, and use of hands and fingers. Occasional sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required.
