Wake County, North Carolina (Raleigh) Key Responsibilities

Monitor, maintain, and ensure budgeting and financial accountability for all grants within the division. Support the Business Officer in managing resources of the Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) and DEIPD totaling >$200 million. Troubleshoot complex financial and budgeting issues, coordinating information requests and interpreting OSBM policies, federal and state regulations, and GAAP for compliance. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of NCFS, IBIS, and related reporting tools to support accurate budgeting and reporting. Independently manage the authorized budget through all phases, reviewing and projecting expenditures, and making necessary realignments. Collaborate extensively with DHHS staff and federal partners to complete financial reports and address budget‑related inquiries. Assist in implementing corrective action plans from audit findings to maintain financial integrity. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Experience in budgeting principles, accounting practices, and fiscal management. Ability to provide technical assistance on business operations for a division funded by diverse state and federal streams. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, error‑free financial work. Proficiency with multiple data and financial systems, including advanced Microsoft Excel. Strong collaboration skills, working effectively in a team and independently under tight deadlines. Required Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary & Benefits

Salary Range:

$50,633 – $88,607 per year Recruitment Range:

$50,633 – $72,000 per year Funding:
