Job Description
A confidential defense manufacturing operation is seeking a
Production Supervisor
to oversee high‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing teams in a precision aerospace and defense environment. This hands‑on leadership role drives daily production performance, ensures regulatory compliance, and champions a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a
manufacturing team
to meet operational and delivery targets.
Oversee production activities, establish priorities, and ensure adherence to schedules, cost, and quality standards.
Develop and coach team members; support hiring, training, and performance management.
Implement lean manufacturing practices and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce variation.
Coordinate manufacturing with procurement, maintenance, and quality functions for optimal resource utilization.
Ensure all Environmental, Health & Safety procedures are followed daily.
Review and analyze production data, address performance gaps, and resolve operational issues.
Support new product introduction by collaborating with engineering on manufacturability and testability.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing production environment.
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Active VantageClear credential, recognized equivalent, or active U.S. Security Clearance (required).
Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
Experience with lean tools, continuous improvement, and project management.
Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, production planning, and supply chain operations.
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace or defense manufacturing leadership experience.
Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
Knowledge of California labor and compliance standards.
Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certifications.
