Employee Relations and Title IX Specialist

Overview St. Catherine University invites applications for a full-time Employee Relations, Title IX position within the Human Resources Department.

The Employee Relations Title IX Specialist serves as a critical strategic partner and internal consultant within the Human Resources division. This role is responsible for advancing key HR programs and compliance functions with a focus on employee relations, policy development, performance management, and HR compliance oversight. The position also acts as the institution's Title IX Coordinator, ensuring institutional compliance with federal regulations and supporting the creation of a safe, inclusive environment for all students, faculty, and staff.

This role leads the development and implementation of high-impact HR programs that foster organizational consistency, employee trust, and institutional compliance. It manages sensitive employee relations matters with discretion, leads proactive risk mitigation strategies, and designs tools and practices that promote equity in employee treatment, policy application, and workplace outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a closely related field.

Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in human resources, with direct experience in either compensation programs or faculty contract processing.

At least one (1) year of experience supervising, leading, or coordinating the work of others, with demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and drive results.

Proven ability to build positive, trust-based relationships with institutional leaders and navigate complex dynamics-especially when delivering difficult decisions or offering alternative solutions.

Strong customer service orientation, with a commitment to serving employees, students, and campus partners with professionalism and empathy.

Demonstrated analytical skills with experience interpreting and applying HR policy, compensation data, and workforce metrics.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear documentation, facilitate group processes, and influence decisions through evidence-based reasoning.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.

Experience working in a higher education, unionized, or mission-driven organization with varied employee classifications (faculty, staff, student workers).

Demonstrated expertise in Title IX compliance, employee relations investigations, or workplace conflict resolution.

Compensation $74,000 - $110,000

The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors. St. Catherine reserves the right to modify or adjust compensation depending on University needs.
