About The Role The Production Control Specialist is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the production schedule to ensure customer demand is met while maximizing operational efficiency. This role coordinates across Production, Materials, Procurement, Logistics, and Quality to create a feasible, resource-balanced schedule that aligns capacity, inventory targets, and demand requirements. The Production Control Specialist proactively analyzes constraints, identifies risks, and adjusts plans to support on-time delivery, stable operations, and overall business objectives.

The position owns the long-, mid-, and short-range scheduling processes, ensuring accuracy of the MPS, driving schedule adherence, and maintaining valid data within the ERP/MRP system. The Production Control Specialist directly with leadership and cross-functional teams to communicate changes, manage capacity bottlenecks, support new product launches, and ensure materials availability. Success in this role is measured through schedule stability, adherence to plan, inventory health, and customer service levels.

What You'll Accomplish

Review and update the production schedule based on new customer orders, forecast changes, material availability, and production performance.

Communicate schedule changes to Production, Materials, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure alignment and prevent disruptions.

Monitor schedule adherence and identify risks, such as shortages, capacity issues, or equipment downtime, initiating corrective actions as needed.

Validate material readiness by checking MRP signals, shortage reports, and open purchase orders to ensure the schedule is executable.

Analyze capacity and throughput constraints and make real-time adjustments to optimize flow, minimize delays, and support on-time delivery.

Develop, publish, and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet customer demand, inventory targets, and capacity constraints.

Translate demand forecasts, customer orders, and sales plans into a feasible production plan.

Ensure alignment of schedule with material availability, labor resources, equipment capacity, and production readiness.

Drive daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling processes; lead cross-functional scheduling meetings.

Monitor schedule adherence, identify root causes for misses, and implement corrective actions.

Evaluate and communicate risks to production plans, including shortages, equipment downtime, and demand changes.

Update ERP/MRP systems to maintain accurate lead times, lot sizes, routings, and planning parameters.

Analyze capacity constraints and recommend adjustments such as overtime, shift changes, or outsourcing.

Collaborate closely with Materials, Procurement, Production, Quality, and Logistics to ensure schedule feasibility.

Support new product launches and engineering changes by integrating them into the production schedule.

Balance production efficiency with customer delivery priorities to optimize throughput and minimize changeovers.

Maintain visibility to long-range capacity requirements and support S&OP processes.

Track and report KPIs including schedule adherence, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and forecast stability.

Act as the primary point of communication for schedule changes and impacts across the organization.

Continuously refine scheduling processes, tools, and data accuracy to improve planning.

2 years of manufacturing experience.

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ('PPE'), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
