Job Summary The Clinical Social Worker (Health/CF) Safety is responsible for assessments, diagnosing, developing, monitoring, and modifying treatment plans, providing group therapy and collateral conferences, and documenting patient progress in a correctional health care setting. The role focuses on substance use disorder treatment within the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDT).
Responsibilities
Conduct assessments and summarize case information for diagnosis, treatment planning, and disposition.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team in diagnosis and treatment formulation.
Develop, monitor, and modify treatment plans with the team.
Provide individual and group therapy, collateral conferences, and document patient progress.
Work with patients to create relapse prevention and re-entry plans.
Maintain confidentiality, compliance, and follow all applicable policies.
Minimum Requirements Qualified candidates must meet the minimum qualifications listed in the Classification Specification, including:
California Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker.
Valid license by the California Board of Behavioral Science; if not yet licensed, must obtain within four years.
Adherence to required background and TB screening procedures.
Completion of required training (e.g., Clinical Social Worker (Health/Correctional Facility) Safety bulletin exam).
Must pass the State examination or provide evidence of qualification as per list eligibility procedures.
Desirable Qualifications
Associate Clinical Social Worker license.
Experience in addiction medicine and substance use treatment within a correctional setting.
Demonstrated commitment to an inclusive and equitable workplace.
