Job Description The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine is actively hiring one Student Admissions Specialist to work in the COM Office of Recruitment and Admissions. The specialist should expect to work twelve (12) - fifteen (15) hours per week, as agreed upon with the hiring manager. A time sheet will be managed by the COM Director of Recruitment and Admissions and attested to by the student. This position will be paid a rate of $14.00 per hour. Student workers in this role are not eligible for additional benefits.
This role is expected to last from February 2026 to June 2027.
Responsibilities The College of Medicine Recruitment and Admissions Student Assistant role is essential to the continuation of quality recruitment and admission experience services provided by the College of Medicine. This position is responsible for departmental support and includes:
Create recruiting emails to send out to prospects at all levels in the recruiting pipeline.
Assist in event management (Interview Days, Visit Day, Reapplicant Workshop, Mod Reveal, etc.).
Host Zoom Q&A with prospects, current applicants, and currently accepted students.
Contact accepted student with check‑in calls and emails to support their enrollment experience.
Provide support as needed for team initiatives as directed by Admissions team (Deans, Director and recruiters).
Other duties may be assigned as needed to successfully fulfill the needs of the COM Office of Recruitment and Admissions. All activities will be arranged by the Office of Recruitment and Admissions department and must adhere to federal law, state law, OU College of Medicine policies, and student assistant worker confidentiality agreements.
Candidates for this position must display enthusiasm and positive expression about the OU COM MD program, and possess excellent organization, written, and communication skills.
The student assistant position is provided with all necessary work function resources, including telephone, computer, and office space needed to complete daily duties and tasks. All work must be completed within scheduled work hours. Student Assistants are not permitted to utilize OU College of Medicine provided equipment or resources for personal use.

Must be currently enrolled in the Spring 2026 Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
