Position Description This Position is Open to Current TTUHSC Human Resources Employees Only. Under the direction of the Sr. Managing Director, Human Resources, this position assists in managing the daily HR functions for the Abilene and Dallas campuses and HR Generalist. This position is a working manager, responsible for recruiting, benefits, workforce relations, and leave administration, in addition to the supervision of an HR Generalist. This position works to ensure that HR practices are consistent, compliant, timely, and aligned with HR divisional expectations delivering high-quality HR services while demonstrating our values-based culture.

Major / Essential Functions
Collaborates with the Senior Managing Director, HR on HR functions and provides direction and support to HR Generalist.
Manages the Abilene and Dallas HR team and all functions and workflow processes. This will include traveling approximately once a month to the Dallas campus, or as needed.
Directs the effectiveness, compliance, and productivity of the Abilene and Dallas campus recruiting activities. Works all recruitment efforts for Pharmacy Residents, and director-level Staff positions.
Under the general guidance of the Senior Managing Director, HR, assists in employee relations by providing guidance to campus leadership and staff on sensitive issues (e.g., discipline, hiring, promotions, appointments, reorganizations, etc.) while being solution-oriented and complying with all relevant policies, procedures, and employment laws.
Communicating and enrolling employees in all benefits programs (State of Texas Group Benefits Program, State of Texas retirement plans, leaves, and other benefits) for all Abilene/Dallas Faculty and Staff employees.
Assists supervisors and employees with the interpretation and application of TTUHSC policies, System Regulations, and various employment laws.
Under the direction of the Senior Managing Director, HR, communicates and prepares claims and paperwork related to disability, FMLA, SLP/FLP, and all other leave programs.
Conducts all Offboarding for Director level and above, Faculty and Residents, and Involuntary Terminations.
Perform any project or specific work assigned by management.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or other related field.
Three (3) years of experience in human resources with a focus on at least two of the following areas: recruitment, ePAFs, benefits administration, FMLA/ADA, or workforce relations with a human resources department.
Current PHR/SHRM-CP or a certification must be obtained within 2 years of hire into the position.
Three (3) years working in a human resources department within a healthcare, higher education, or government setting.
Current TTUHSC Human Resources employee.
