Major/Essential Functions

Under the supervision of the Managing Director, the Workforce Development Coordinator’s responsibilities will include close collaboration with rural healthcare organizations, community stakeholder teams, healthcare professionals, and program team members to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate rural education initiatives involving students at the K-12, post-secondary, and collegiate levels. This role works with local rural school districts on related health education programs, colleges within the HSC service region, and on grant evaluation initiatives in the division of rural affairs related to workforce programs. Supports the overall mission, objectives and goals of the Division of Rural Affairs Workforce Development and Education Programs. Regular attendance of virtual and in-person meetings is an essential requirement of the position. Supports the WTAHEC Centers in implementation, coordination, and evaluations of key components of rural workforce initiatives. Leads curricular development of didactic training for rural healthcare workforce programs within the division. Collaborate in data collection, strategy and reporting dashboards for grant-supported programs to internal, external and governmental stakeholders. Program evaluation which analyzes program trends to identify high‑performing programs and performance improvement needs in rural workforce initiatives. Provides input when requested for budgetary needs for Workforce Programs that align with grant objectives. Support department operations and planning of workforce program special events as needed. Clinical Education Coordination collaboratively with leadership to plan, develop, implement, support, and coordinate clinical education opportunities in rural settings for TTUHSC students. Coordinates and/or conducts comprehensive assessments of the ability of rural healthcare organizations in the region of responsibility to provide educational opportunities to students. Advocates and communicates remote educational opportunities for the upskilling of healthcare workers in rural areas. Supports outreach teams from different schools within TTUHSC to implement school‑specific rural opportunities. Seeks opportunities to partner with local ISDs and colleges in the region to support K‑12 and post‑secondary pathways in rural health care. Other duties as assigned by the Managing Director. Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience in healthcare education or program/project coordination within the healthcare industry and/or rural healthcare settings. Strong understanding of healthcare clinical operations. Analytical and problem‑solving abilities to assess needs, develop plans, and identify appropriate resources. Proficiency in program/project management software. Experience with project implementation, partner onboarding, and curriculum development. Experience in rural program evaluation, rural healthcare, and grant‑funded initiatives. Familiarity with rural health technology, virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom for healthcare). Pay Statement
