We are looking for a Shift Coordinator/Banquet Captain to join our team at Xperience Restaurant Group (XRG) in Rio Mambo.

Purpose A Shift Coordinator is an hourly, non‑exempt position responsible for assisting the management team in all aspects of shift management. Completion of the Shift Coordinator Program is a requirement prior to starting Shift Coordinator training.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform all duties as outlined in the Shift Coordinator certification program.
Set an example by implementing the shift plan and ensuring smooth production.
Delegate in a way that encourages teamwork during the shift to keep operations compliant with company standards.
Communicate daily work goals to the team.
Motivate Team Members to exceed guest expectations with food and friendly service in clean surroundings.
Work with the team to act on guest feedback and resolve complaints timely, friendly and professionally.
Takes initiative to report violations of safety, sanitation, security and other company policies to restaurant management.
Follow all POS comp procedures and cash handling procedures – never discount own checks.
Assist leadership with coordinating and scheduling interviews for hourly team members.
Follow manager appearance standards when performing Shift Coordinator duties.
Demonstrate appropriate professional and ethical behavior at all times when interacting with guests, employees, and managers.
Direct, train and motivate employees to complete assigned tasks and checklists.
Follow all procedures and policies to ensure safety of employees and guests.
Assist managers with promotional roll‑outs and training.
Preparing and sorting documents for data entry.
Enter invoices into database software and check accuracy.
Track, review, and submit invoices.
Resolve discrepancies in information and gather further information for incomplete documents.
Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
High School Diploma preferred.
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Valid Driver’s License.
18+ years of age.
Possession of or the ability to possess all state‑required work cards.
Minimum of two years related experience.
Familiarity with Opentable.
Proper lifting techniques.
Guest relations.
Sanitation and safety.
Safe alcohol service.
Full‑service restaurant operations.
Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in English, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the public.
Working Conditions
Work indoors and/or outdoors, exposed to hot and/or cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors.
Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds and smoke; severity depends on guest volume.
Fast‑paced, high‑volume, full‑service restaurant.
Work varied shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Walk long periods of time.
Stand for long periods of time.
Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Repeat the same movements for long periods.
Understand speech of another person.
Speak clearly so listeners understand.
Push and lift up to 50 lbs.
Reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
