Flexible Location NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is a remote‑friendly employer with staff based throughout Scotland. Work Pattern Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week. From 1 April 2026 the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata, with a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so pay will not be affected.

Eligibility You must have eligibility and entitlement to work in the UK and maintain this throughout your employment.

Who We Are NES is the national health board responsible for workforce development, education, and training across Scotland. The Medical Directorate oversees postgraduate medical education, ensuring training meets GMC standards. The trainee’s progress is managed through the training programme to maintain high quality standards.

The Opportunity This role is part of a small, enthusiastic and innovative team responsible for developing and delivering educational opportunities for a variety of medical practitioners. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders across Scotland to enhance the learning and development of new and experienced postgraduate medical trainers, resident doctors in training, psychiatrists and SAS doctors.
