HEALTH FACILITIES SURVEYOR NURSE I Conduct on‑site surveys of health care providers regulated by the Office of Health Care Quality (OHCQ) to determine compliance with federal and/or state regulations. This field position requires use of a personal vehicle to travel throughout Maryland and occasional overnight stays. Responsibilities include investigating complaints, documenting findings, and working independently or in teams across various units such as Federal, Assisted Living, Developmental Disabilities, and Long‑Term Care (nursing home) units.

Minimum Qualifications

bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.

or two years experience as a Registered Nurse in place of the degree.

or U.S. Armed Forces military service as a commissioned officer in nursing classifications.

Desired or Preferred Qualifications

experience and training as a registered nurse.

experience making decisions regarding compliance with state regulations.

experience accurately documenting deficient practices.

Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications

current Maryland Registered Nurse license (copy or license number and expiration date required).

valid motor vehicle operator’s license in Maryland if required to drive.
