We are looking for an experienced professional to support our workforce planning for a national tele-health service.
Who We Are NHS Scotland’s national tele-health and tele‑care service provides health advice and information by telephone and online 24/7. NHS 24 operates six regional centres and supports hybrid working, requiring three days in the office, including Monday.
The Role The role holder will provide recommendations and subject‑matter expertise to Operational Management on effective resource deployment to meet service level targets.
Key Responsibilities
Support and recommend forecasting and planning, working with the Resource Planning Scheduler.
Provide recommendations to operational managers on daily resource deployment.
Design and review shifts and rotas in line with service requirements.
Pro‑actively plan staffing for events that affect call volume.
Represent the team in projects and advise on the impact of new initiatives.
Deputise for the Operational Planning Manager as required.
Extract and analyse call data from the WFM system and Symposium.
Respond to senior management queries on resource implications.
Develop, implement and maintain resource planning processes.
Maintain the WFM system to keep data accurate.
Ensure exceptions are captured and reported.
Successful Applicant Will Be
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
Experienced in operating a WFM system for 1000+ staff.
Experienced in a Resource Planning role within a Virtual Contact Centre.
Highly numeric with a fast‑thinking problem‑solving approach.
Capable of multitasking and working to tight timescales.
Able to translate complex information into concise reports.
Strong analytical skills with high PC literacy.
Works independently and with others with minimal supervision.
Flexible and adaptable.
