Front Office Coordinator
Hours of Work: Monday–Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Travel: None – onsite presence mandatory; initial training at the Corporate office in North Tampa

Job Summary Front Desk Coordinator will provide the highest level of customer service to patients, employees, and referral sources through coordination and administration of front office activities. Typical responsibilities include clinic administrative operations such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance eligibility, collecting patient payments, responding to telephone inquiries, communicating via phone and digital platforms, and referral management.
Essential Duties
Patient Check‑In: schedule appointments, verify insurance, create new patient charts, maintain digital patient records, scan and file documents, manage incoming phone calls, and handle e‑faxes.
Patient Check‑Out: support closing of patient visits, post over‑the‑counter payments, coordinate with clinical staff for in‑progress services, schedule return appointments, obtain necessary signatures.
Maintain accurate information and timely completion of all assigned tasks across the front office.
Required Skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Excellent written and verbal communication
Customer service oriented interpersonal skills
Typing 40 wpm with accuracy (preferred)
Understanding of medical reimbursement/terminology and general office duties
Proficient computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, email, web portals)
Ability to use necessary office equipment: computers, scanners, signature pads, phone system
Education and Experience
High School Diploma – required
Experience in reception and/or customer service in a high‑volume environment
Healthcare industry experience – preferred

Approximately 90 % sitting, walking/standing remainder
Continuous hand use for keyboarding and data entry

Maintain work schedule, stamina throughout the day with workflow
Handle confidential information
Meet deadlines, adjust to changing requirements and manage stress
