Flynn Panera is a franchisee of Panera Bread, operating under a decentralized business model led by Market Leaders. Since 2015, Flynn Panera has grown to become the second‑largest Panera franchisee worldwide, driven by new store openings and acquisitions of additional franchise operators. Management offices are organized by geography, with Area Directors overseeing multiple units and General Managers serving as the primary leaders of individual cafés. Position Overview
Our Panera Bread cafés are upscale, friendly venues featuring baked breads and pastries, made‑to‑order soups, salads, sandwiches, and specialty espresso beverages. The environment is grease‑ and alcohol‑free, so as an assistant manager you can expect no late nights. Managers supervise up to 75 staff members, ensuring a high‑quality service experience for guests. Key Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a diverse team, prioritizing coaching, counseling, and the development of each associate. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, safety, and facility management. Oversee overall business performance including ordering, scheduling, labor management, marketing, facilities, bakery operations, and catering. Analyze sales levels and profitability, and create and execute sustained profitability plans. Serve as the primary conduit of information between associates and upper management. Retain and develop team members, foster a positive work culture, and promote the franchisee’s core values. Program and control budgets, manage costs, and coordinate full‐shift operations. Perform customer table visits and ensure guest satisfaction. Inspire associates to perform with authenticity and productivity, utilizing one‑on‑one reviews and performance documentation. Anticipate and prevent operational problems, and act as the main resource for resolving associate questions. Recruit, train, and place staff to meet staffing par levels, ensuring compliance with company guidelines, cultural values, and ethical practices. Serve as the primary bakery‑café specialist, guaranteeing staff competence in all aspects of food service and customer support. Education & Experience
At least 2–3 years of hospitality management experience. Degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or hotel/restaurant management preferred. Food management certifications a plus. Must possess a “Run it Like You Own It” mentality. Perks and Compensation
Competitive hourly wages ($25.00–$26.00/hr) with monthly profit share. Five hours of overtime available each week. Profit sharing (varies by market) and bonus opportunities. Meal discounts.
