Full‑time Patient Service Representative for our South County Internal Medicine office located at 5034 Griffin Road. Summary
The main responsibility will be answering incoming calls for 9 providers. The PSR will ask pertinent questions related to patient symptoms and relay this information to the provider. The chosen candidate must project a positive and professional image over the phone and in all interactions with patients and coworkers. This position will also be trained to cover the front desk and check‑in/out. Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls for 9 providers Ask pertinent questions related to patient symptoms Relay information to the provider Project a positive and professional image over the phone Interact professionally with patients, coworkers, and other stakeholders Cover the front desk and check‑in/out as needed Multi‑task and stay organized in a fast‑paced environment Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent 1 or more years of experience working with the public, preferably in a healthcare setting Knowledge of medical terminology and different types of health insurance plans (HMO, PPO, etc.) Ability to recognize priority or emergency phone calls Ability to communicate effectively with patients, including angry or upset patients Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast‑ environmentProficient with Windows‑based PC environment Benefits
