Role Overview The Project Scheduler supports Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) substation projects by developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed Primavera schedules throughout the full project lifecycle. This role ensures schedules are accurate, logically sound, and effectively used as project management tools to drive performance, mitigate risk, and support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and present comprehensive Primavera project schedules for substation EPC projects
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, site superintendents, subcontractors, procurement, and clients to ensure schedule accuracy and integrity
Promote best practices that position schedules as active management tools rather than static visuals
Analyze and validate schedule logic, sequencing, and critical paths
Review project schedules to identify missing activities, logic errors, and inconsistencies; support corrective actions
Perform detailed time impact analyses in coordination with project management
Support schedule narratives and documentation for official correspondence and change order management
Ensure delays, scope changes, and approved change orders are accurately incorporated into schedules
Generate and present monthly schedule performance metrics and reports
Coordinate cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning to support schedule development and execution
Review project contracts to identify milestones and ensure they are properly reflected in the project schedule
Document project events impacting schedule performance, scope, cost, and overall efficiency
Required Qualifications & Experience
5–10 years of scheduling experience in engineering and/or construction project management, with full lifecycle ownership of substation construction projects
Strong knowledge of EPC project delivery methods and project management control systems, including scheduling, estimating, cost control, procurement, and business development
Expert-level proficiency with Primavera scheduling software
Demonstrated experience with high-voltage substation projects
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work creatively in a team‑oriented environment
Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders to ensure accurate schedule inputs
