Payroll Clerk Opportunity We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in North Las Vegas, Nevada. In this contract-to-permanent position, you will be part of a collaborative environment, contributing to the smooth operation of payroll processes for a dynamic company specializing in construction. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with a small but dedicated team, handling union, certified payroll, and regular payroll responsibilities. The ideal Payroll Clerk must be willing to work five days a week onsite, have prior construction experience and prior union/certified payroll experience.

Responsibilities for the Payroll Clerk:

Process weekly payroll efficiently and accurately for both union and non-union employees.

Utilize Sage 300 software to manage payroll operations.

Handle certified payroll submissions through various portals, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Collaborate with team members to review and verify timesheets submitted.

Export payroll reports to Excel, applying formulas for detailed analysis and reporting.

Assist with full-cycle payroll tasks, including addressing discrepancies and resolving issues.

Ensure accurate record-keeping for payroll and employee compensation data.

Provide backup support for payroll operations to maintain a seamless workflow.

Uphold company values by demonstrating integrity and accountability in all tasks.

Process AFLAC, child support, 401K, insurance and uniforms as needed per employee.

Process all quarterly payroll reports (940, 941 and DETR) along with federal tax reports.

Review and enter new hire paperwork data into software.

Process certified payroll, Emars, WRAP & OCIP accurately on a weekly/monthly basis.

Requirements:

Minimum of two years of experience in payroll processing, construction and union environments required.

Proficiency in Sage 300.

Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas for reporting.

Experience with certified payroll processes and compliance standards.

Familiarity with weekly payroll cycles and in-house payroll systems.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
