Position Summary The Support Clerk I supports the mission of CHS by providing information to callers and performing various clerical tasks for the Service Coordination department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Delivers excellent customer service by greeting visitors, directing incoming faxes or telephone calls to the appropriate staff, forwarding calls to voicemail, and taking messages as needed. Distributes incoming and outgoing mail, monitors the postage meter balance, maintains conference room schedules, distributes and manages petty cash, calculates and reports Consumer Satisfaction Survey results monthly as applicable, and creates and updates Service Coordination contact lists for the assigned counties.
Maintains secure and accurate record management for individuals served by assuring confidentiality of individuals' Protected Health Information (PHI) and following HIPAA policies.
Prepares and collaborates records requests for outside agencies by creating designated record sets in applicable systems for all incoming and/or transferring consumers.
Assists in assigning consumers to teams and notifies DMH‑DD Regional office of assignments by informing new consumers and/or their families of HIPAA policies and providing the Notification of Privacy Practices.
Assists and completes audits as requested by reviewing and pulling required documents and sending to the local Regional Office, CMS, and MO HealthNet, accepts and willingly carries out special assignments or other duties when requested.

Qualifications Required Education:
High school diploma, GED or HiSet Degree and 1-year certificate from a university or trade school or 1 year of related work experience.

Shift FT (40 hrs. per week) Work in the office, Mon‑Fri: 8am‑5pm
