Base pay range:
$16.00/hr
Overview The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented, prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies. They intercept consumers and demonstrate products in a professional manner while maintaining a professional appearance.
Responsibilities
Possess aptitude to gain knowledge of the products represented.
Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to consumers positively.
Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
Complete expense reports as per company policy.
Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents (Microsoft Word & Adobe PDF).
Qualifications Education/Experience:
High school diploma, GED, or one to three months of related experience preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience also acceptable.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in using personal computers or mobile devices, navigating applications and internal systems.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Local food‑handlers permit may be required.
Physical Demands:
The associate will stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach overhead up to 65 inches, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart, prepare food and beverages using required appliances, and be in contact with cleaning supplies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Work Environment:
Retail store environment with limited travel.
Physical Appearance:
Professional appearance and proper grooming; follow retailer dress code.
Language Skills:
English (primary); bilingual skills may be required.
