What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the center

Utilize smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory

Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers, and clean and inspect equipment

Answer customer inquiries and educate them about products and services

Prepare rental invoices and accept returned equipment; install hitches and trailer wiring

What is Required (Qualifications)

Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs.

Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training through U‑Haul University

Availability to work in a moderately risky environment with safety precautions

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Previous experience in customer service or a related field

Familiarity with U‑Haul products and services

Certification in forklift operation (available through U‑Haul upon employment)

Certification in propane filling (available through U‑Haul upon employment)

Knowledge of safety procedures related to equipment handling
