What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the center
Utilize smartphone technology for managing rentals and inventory
Move, hook up, and inspect U-Haul trucks and trailers
Prepare rental invoices and process returned equipment
Participate in ongoing training and education through U-Haul University
What is Required (Qualifications)
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
Willingness to work in environments with moderate risks and discomforts
Ability to follow safety precautions and use protective gear when necessary
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in customer service or retail environments
Familiarity with operating forklifts (certification offered upon employment)
Interest in obtaining certification for filling propane and installing hitches
Strong communication skills to effectively assist customers
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
