About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to serve as its senior non-academic leader, with a primary focus on the institution's financial health, operational excellence, and administrative effectiveness. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the business office, which includes finance, operations, and advancement, and will play a key role in strategic planning and execution. This role demands a service-oriented, operationally minded leader with a minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience, who is adept at anticipating needs, bringing structure to complexity, and is deeply committed to the values and culture of the institution.
Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include strategic leadership in partnership with the Head of School and Board, financial management, oversight of operations and administration, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will be a mission-aligned leader, a strategic thinker, and an operationally minded professional with a strong service mindset. They should be technologically savvy, with experience in fundraising or advancement operations preferred. The role also involves maintaining a strong customer service mindset and supporting positive relationships with all stakeholders. While experience in a school or nonprofit environment is preferred, it is not required, and advanced training such as an MBA, CPA, MPA, or comparable degree is a plus.
