Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year in an elementary school setting, located in Wake Forest, NC. This contract position runs from January 5, 2026, through June 11, 2026, and offers part-time hours Monday through Friday, averaging 4-6 hours daily. The ideal candidate will work onsite supporting a caseload of 7-8 students in grades K-2 diagnosed with moderate to severe Autism. Primary responsibilities include: Providing specialized instruction and support tailored to students with autism spectrum disorder, both verbal and nonverbal Collaborating closely with a teaching assistant team to meet the educational and behavioral needs of young learners Fostering a supportive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth Implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching methods to meet diverse needs Monitoring student progress and communicating effectively with parents and school staff To qualify for this role, candidates must hold an Early Childhood license with Birth to Kindergarten endorsement and possess confidence and enjoyment in working with the autism population. Experience with a similar caseload and working in a team-based environment is highly desired. This position requires onsite presence, with no remote work options. Benefits for this assignment include a $1,500 sign-on bonus, payable in two installments: half after 60 days and the remainder upon completion of the assignment.
