Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An elementary school in Rantoul, IL is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher with experience managing a 5th-grade caseload for a full-time contract position during the current school year (CSY). This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational environment by providing specialized instruction and case management services for students with special needs. Responsibilities: Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students unique learning needs within the 5th-grade curriculum. Serve as a case manager, coordinating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, parents, and support staff. Monitor student progress, adjust teaching strategies accordingly, and maintain thorough documentation. Communicate effectively with families and team members to support student success and address any concerns. Participate in team meetings and professional development activities. Qualifications: Valid teaching certification in Special Education. Experience working with 5th-grade students in an elementary setting. Proven ability to manage case files and serve as an effective case manager. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
