A home infusion pharmacist role is available on a 13-week contract basis, with potential for contract-to-hire based on performance. The position operates Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing a structured schedule for medical professionals ready to contribute immediately. Key Responsibilities: Accept and dispense prescription medications following legal guidelines. Monitor patient medication compliance and detect over-usage patterns. Maintain precise and confidential patient records. Counsel patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions. Offer patient services including smoking cessation, blood pressure, and cholesterol monitoring. Educate patients on medical device usage, such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters. Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions with accurate procedural adherence. Supervise pharmacy team members including technicians and clerks. Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventories. Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to resolve drug-related issues. Desired Qualifications: Active Florida pharmacist license. Previous retail pharmacy experience welcomed; in-house training available for qualified candidates. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to supervise staff and work collaboratively within a healthcare team. Location: Woodridge, Illinois.
