A well-established home infusion pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a 13-week contract position with potential to convert to permanent based on performance. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with retail pharmacy experience looking to expand into home infusion services. The position requires a Florida Pharmacist license and offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Location: Aurora, IL Job Type: Contract (13 weeks) with possible contract-to-hire Key Responsibilities: Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately Monitor patient medication compliance and usage patterns Ensure the legal supply and suitability of prescribed medicines Maintain confidential and accurate patient and pharmacy records Provide patient consultations regarding medication usage, side effects, and interactions Educate patients on medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following protocols Supervise and support pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory appropriately Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers to address drug-related issues Desired Qualifications: Valid Florida Pharmacist license in-hand Experience in retail pharmacy; training for home infusion will be provided Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams Strong attention to detail and organizational skills If you are ready to contribute your pharmacy expertise in a supportive, patient-focused environment and meet the licensure requirements, this contract role offers a great pathway to permanent employment.
