A well-established home infusion pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist for a 13-week contract opportunity with the potential for contract-to-hire based on performance. Location: Naperville, IL Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Key Responsibilities: Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Monitor patient medication adherence and identify over-usage patterns. Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files meticulously. Provide counseling to patients on medication usage, possible side effects, and drug interactions. Offer clinical services such as smoking cessation programs, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management. Educate patients on proper use and handling of medical devices including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters. Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following stringent protocols. Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks, ensuring smooth operations. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to address drug-related issues and optimize patient outcomes. Maintain accurate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies. Desired Qualifications: Valid Florida pharmacist license required (in-hand). Previous experience in retail pharmacy is acceptable; training will be provided. Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a multidisciplinary team setting.
