A K-12 school in Dallas, TX, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a contract position during the current school year. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have access to an inclusive and supportive educational environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver resource inclusion services at the elementary level, tailoring instruction to meet individual student goals. Provide homebound and inclusion support for middle school students, facilitating learning in various settings. Support LIFE program students at the elementary level, addressing unique educational requirements. Implement PASS (behavior) interventions for elementary students to promote positive behavior and engagement. Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to create and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Monitor student progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians. Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities as required. Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification applicable in Texas. Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings, particularly in resource inclusion and behavior support. Ability to manage diverse learning needs and adapt instructional strategies accordingly. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Knowledge of homebound instruction protocols and IDEA compliance.
