Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a full-time Behavior Specialist position serving students in grades K-12 across multiple school locations within the Charleston County School District, South Carolina. Candidates will support diverse school environments, including preschool and various district areas such as North Charleston, Southwest, West Ashley, and East of the Cooper (Mt. Pleasant). This contract position is scheduled to begin as soon as possible and will continue through May 29, 2026. Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments and develop behavior intervention plans tailored to individual student needs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to implement positive behavior support strategies Monitor and document student progress, ensuring compliance with school policies and regulations Provide training and support to school staff on behavior management techniques Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance student outcomes Preferred Qualifications: Relevant licensure or certification as a Behavior Specialist Experience working with K-12 students in school settings Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis and evidence-based strategies Excellent communication and teamwork skills Flexibility to work across varied school locations within the district This role offers a meaningful opportunity to impact student growth and development while working within a collaborative educational environment.
