An opportunity is available for Special Education Teachers to provide dedicated support across multiple K-12 settings within a dynamic school district near Goose Creek, South Carolina. This full-time, contract position runs from ASAP through May 29, 2026, offering a meaningful chance to impact the lives of students with diverse learning needs across a variety of classroom environments. Locations include two schools in the North Charleston area, two in West Ashley, and one at a specialized academy serving students with intellectual disabilities and autism. Candidates should indicate which location they are interested in during the application process. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with disabilities across age groups K-12, including low incidence and intensive developmental support classrooms. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Utilize behavior management strategies and support positive behavioral outcomes, particularly for students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) where available. Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to state and federal regulations regarding special education services. Qualifications: Active South Carolina state licensure as a Special Education Teacher; multi-categorical licensure preferred. Experience working with students exhibiting a wide range of disabilities, especially intellectual disabilities and autism. Proven skills in behavior management and adapting instructional strategies to meet individual student needs. Strong communication and teamwork abilities essential for collaborating within multidisciplinary teams. Prior teaching experience ranging from entry-level to advanced professionals is welcomed.
