Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a K-12 public school in Aurora, CO, serving students in a resource classroom setting. This contract role begins immediately and continues through May 22, 2026. The position requires 40 hours per week and focuses on delivering specialized instruction to support students with diverse learning needs. Key Qualifications: Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Professional Teacher License with Generalist Endorsement (5-21) is mandatory. Applicants holding only traveler, substitute, temporary, or interim licenses will not be considered unless they have applied for and can provide proof of application for the appropriate SPED license with endorsement. Experience delivering Specially Designed Instruction aligned with alternative standards. Extensive knowledge of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process, including collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support student success. Strong instructional strategies and practices specific to special education. Commitment to working full-time onsite; virtual or hybrid work options are not available. Location: Aurora, Colorado Responsibilities: Provide resource classroom instruction tailored to individual student needs. Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in collaboration with educators, families, and related service providers. Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies to support students across various disability categories. Maintain documentation and compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
