Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 2023-2026 school years at a K-12 resource classroom setting in Littleton, CO. This contract position supports students in a comprehensive high school environment, focusing on delivering specialized instruction tailored to diverse learning needs. The role requires a proactive educator committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational atmosphere. Required Qualifications: Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Professional Teacher License with a Generalist Endorsement (5-21). Must hold or have applied for the correct SPED license with proof; temporary or substitute licenses are not acceptable. Extensive knowledge of Specially Designed Instruction techniques and strategies tailored for students on alternative standards. Strong familiarity with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary IEP teams. Teaching experience within resource classroom settings preferred. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized education to K-12 students in a resource classroom model. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs in alignment with state standards and student needs. Utilize evidence-based instructional practices to support academic and social development. Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to optimize student progress. Manage classroom behavior and foster an inclusive learning environment that respects student diversity. Location: Littleton, Colorado Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week) Contract Duration: Immediate start through May 22, 2026 This role requires availability for an in-depth interview discussing your teaching experience, instructional methods, and collaborative approach in special education.
