Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to support K-5 students in a vibrant school setting located in Prichard, AL. This position provides a valuable opportunity to contribute to the communication development of young learners within a dedicated educational environment. The role is contracted for the current school year, beginning March 2025 through May 29, 2026, with a commitment of 35 hours per week serving one school. Responsibilities: Deliver speech-language therapy services to students in grades K-5 under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. Assist with screening, assessment, and implementation of speech-language intervention plans. Monitor student progress, document services provided, and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies and state regulations. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to support student communication goals. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education programs (IEPs). Qualifications: Must be registered with the Board of Speech Examiners. Current AL SLPA license is not required for this contracted position but is preferred for direct hire roles. Experience working with children, preferably within a school-based setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.
