Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school in Toledo, OR is seeking a Special Education Teacher for an onsite, contract position for the upcoming school year. This role focuses on serving a highly severe caseload of approximately 10 students in grades 3 through 6. The school will provide three teaching assistants to support classroom needs. Key responsibilities include: Developing, implementing, and managing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs Delivering specially designed instruction for students with higher support needs, including crisis management when necessary Collaborating closely with teaching assistants and school staff to create an effective and supportive learning environment Qualifications: Active Oregon teaching license with a Special Education (SPED) endorsement is required Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in grades 3 to 6 Additional endorsements in Special Education are highly desirable and will be considered a plus Strong ability to manage a highly severe caseload with patience and professionalism This position is strictly onsite and ideal for educators dedicated to making a difference in the lives of students with significant educational challenges.
