Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction to students with severe to profound disabilities in a middle/high school setting. This position requires dedication to delivering tailored educational programs that meet the unique needs of each student. The role offers a contract for the current school year and is based in Pawtucket, RI. Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with severe to profound disabilities. Provide specialized instruction and support to a caseload of up to eight severely handicapped students. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists and support staff to ensure comprehensive care. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to accommodate individual needs. Maintain detailed records and communicate regularly with families regarding student development. Qualifications: Certified Special Education Teacher credential. Experience working with students who have severe to profound disabilities; moderate cases will not be considered. Ability to manage a caseload of up to eight students. Strong communication skills and collaborative work style. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Location and Schedule: Position located in Pawtucket, RI. Contract role for the current school year. Full-time, 7 hours per day, 35 hours per week. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with complex needs.
