A specialty pharmacy is seeking two experienced pharmacists to manage rare and orphan drug therapies in a high-touch environment. This contract role offers a valuable opportunity to apply your specialized knowledge in a dedicated specialty pharmacy setting, working closely with patients and providers to facilitate access to life-changing medications. Key Responsibilities: Dispense and manage specialty medications for rare disease patients Navigate drug approval processes, coordinating with healthcare providers and patients Assist with payment options, grants, rebates, and patient support programs Maintain thorough communication to ensure patient care and adherence Utilize McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system to manage pharmacy operations effectively Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active pharmacy license in Arizona in good standing Proven specialty pharmacy experience within designated specialty retail or specialty mail order settings Expertise in handling rare/orphan drugs and complex approval processes Strong clinical knowledge coupled with excellent communication skills Familiarity with specialty pharmacy software systems, specifically McKesson Enterprise (ERx) Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment Location: Phoenix, AZ Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime shifts Contract Details: Contract duration: 13 weeks with potential to convert to direct hire Immediate start preferred If you have a background in specialty pharmacy and are ready to contribute to a team dedicated to patient-centric care in an advanced retail environment, this role offers a unique chance to broaden your expertise and impact.
