Contract (13 weeks, with possible direct hire) Schedule: Monday to Friday Day shift Key Responsibilities: Assist in dispensing high-cost rare and orphan drugs to patients with rare diseases Provide expert support to patients and healthcare providers to navigate drug approvals, payment programs, grants, rebates, and other financial assistance Maintain strong, high-touch communication with patients and providers to ensure accurate and timely medication delivery and patient support Utilize McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system for specialty pharmacy operations Ensure compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements Desired Experience & Qualifications: Proven specialty pharmacy technician experience; candidates who have solely worked in retail pharmacy will not be considered Experience in specialty retail and/or specialty mail order pharmacy strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to manage complex drug approval processes and patient support programs for costly specialty medications Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills for high-touch patient and provider interactions Current, active, and clear Arizona pharmacy technician license in good standing What Youll Need to Apply: Updated resume clearly highlighting specialty pharmacy experience, including specific disease states managed At least one reference from specialty pharmacy work Copy of your valid Arizona pharmacy technician license This is a unique opportunity to work with specialty medications that require precision and compassion.
