Position Summary Under the supervision of the pharmacy systems supervisor, the Omnicell System Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hospitals automated dispensing system. This includes system utilization, performance monitoring, education, compliance, and operational support to ensure safe and efficient medication distribution across the facility. Key Responsibilities Manage daily operations, utilization, and performance of the Omnicell automated dispensing system
Provide comprehensive system education and training for pharmacy, nursing, and medical staff
Monitor system usage and generate statistical and utilization reports to support operational efficiency
Conduct data analysis and reviews to support regulatory compliance and medication safety initiatives
Collaborate closely with pharmacy leadership, nursing, and physicians to optimize workflows
Perform routine operational and departmental activities to support daily pharmacy operations
Support special projects, system upgrades, and workflow improvements as needed
Schedule Variable schedule, primarily day shifts
Flexibility required to work night shifts when system projects or implementations require it
Required Qualifications Active California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
Minimum of 45 years of recent hospital pharmacy technician experience
Prior experience in a lead or senior technician role
At least 3 years of hands-on experience working with an automated dispensing system
Omnicell system experience required
Strong understanding of medication safety practices and hospital pharmacy operations
Excellent communication skills and ability to educate multidisciplinary teams
