Behavior Specialist / Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Contract Position An opportunity is available for a Behavior Specialist with BCBA certification to provide targeted support within K-12 school settings. This contract position is itinerant throughout the district, offering services to varied schools and age groups within the Lake County School District. The role focuses on providing behavioral interventions, assessment, and support to students in a school environment. Location: Apopka, FL Job Type: Contract Current School Year (CSY) Start Date: ASAP End Date: 05/29/2026 Hours: Approximately 15-20 hours per week School Assignment: Multiple schools, itinerant throughout the district Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement behavior intervention plans based on functional behavior assessments Provide direct behavioral support and consultation to students, teachers, and staff Collect and analyze behavioral data to evaluate progress and adjust plans accordingly Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including educators, parents, and administrators Maintain documentation in compliance with district and national certification standards Support skill development and positive behavior strategies in K-12 students Qualifications & Experience: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required National certification and appropriate licensure for the role Experience working in school settings preferred Ability to work itinerantly across multiple sites Strong communication and collaboration skills Commitment to supporting diverse student populations and fostering inclusive educational environments Benefits & Perks: Engage with a range of K-12 students across multiple schools Gain diverse experience within a supportive educational district Flexible part-time hours with focus on impactful behavioral support This role offers a valuable opportunity to apply expertise in behavior analysis within an educational setting and positively influence student outcomes.
