A school in the Western Chicago area is seeking a full-time special education teacher to work with middle school students. This contract position for the current school year provides an opportunity to support diverse learners in an inclusive and engaging educational environment. Key Qualifications: Experience teaching middle school students, specifically in math and special education Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs Strong classroom management skills and adaptability in a dynamic school setting Familiarity with state and federal special education regulations and best practices Location: Evanston, IL (Western Chicago area) Position Type: Full-time, contract for the current school year Grade Level: Middle school Responsibilities: Deliver math instruction tailored to middle schoolers with varying abilities Collaborate with special education and general education staff to create inclusive lesson plans Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents and school personnel Support students social and emotional development alongside academic growth This role is ideal for educators focused on fostering academic success and confidence in diverse learner populations.
