Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction to 7th and 8th grade students in self-contained math and science classes Collaborate in teaching co-taught social studies sections, adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and track student progress Maintain clear communication with families, staff, and support teams to foster student success Manage classrooms effectively while ensuring compliance with special education guidelines Qualifications & Experience: Valid state certification in Special Education Proven experience teaching middle school subjects, specifically math and science Strong ability to differentiate instruction to accommodate varied learning abilities Effective collaboration skills for co-teaching environments Knowledge of special education laws and best practices in student support Position Details: Location: Cicero, IL Grade Levels: 7th and 8th grade Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:25 AM to 3:15 PM Duration: Contract role starting ASAP through June 6th Caseload: 8-10 students This role offers dedicated educators the chance to impact students academic growth within a dynamic middle school setting.
