Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school located in Joliet, IL. This contract role is ideal for educators experienced in supporting students with special needs within an elementary school environment. The assignment begins ASAP and continues through June 2026, working a standard 37.5-hour week from Monday to Friday. Key Qualifications: Valid teaching certification with a focus on Special Education. Experience working with elementary school-aged children. Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Strong classroom management and communication skills. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Location: Elementary school setting in Joliet, Illinois. Responsibilities: Provide tailored instruction and interventions to students with diverse learning needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress. Monitor and document student performance and behavior. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet individual student requirements. Participate in professional development and team meetings as needed.
