Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 school located in Howell, MI is seeking licensed and certified School Social Workers for a contract role during the 2025-2026 school year. This position serves special education students, providing intervention support in small groups or one-on-one settings. Candidates will manage a caseload of approximately 35-45 students across elementary, middle, or high school levels, with elementary placements currently prioritized. Key qualifications include: Masters degree in Social Work Full Michigan Department of Education (MDE) approval or Social Worker Certificate, or SSW 310 credential letter with MDE application in progress Valid Michigan State Social Worker license through LARA Experience working with K-12 special education populations Ability to work onsite in Howell, MI preferred; virtual candidates may apply but must reside in Michigan for state-required fingerprinting Successful completion of a 9-panel drug screen Responsibilities: Provide direct support and intervention to special education students Develop and implement individualized intervention plans Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to address student needs Maintain accurate records and documentation aligned with MDE licensing requirements This role offers 35 hours per week on a contract basis starting as soon as January 26, 2026 through June 12, 2026.
