Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 Social Worker position is available to support students within a school district in Saginaw, MI. This contract role runs from January 26, 2026, through June 12, 2026, with approximately 35 hours per week. Qualifications and Experience: Masters degree in Social Work required. Full Approval or Social Worker Certificate through the Michigan Department of Education (MDE), or SSW 310 credential letter with MDE application in progress. Must hold a Michigan State Social Worker license through LARA. Experience working with K-12 students, including special education populations. Ability to provide intervention support both in small/moderate groups and one-on-one settings. Candidates should indicate their grade preference (Elementary, Middle, or High School). Onsite candidates preferred, but virtual candidates residing in Michigan will be considered due to state fingerprinting requirements. Must successfully complete a nine-panel drug screen. Location: Position based onsite in Saginaw, MI. Virtual candidates must be Michigan residents. Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of approximately 35-45 K-12 students. Offer intervention services tailored to special education students needs. Collaborate with school staff to provide targeted social work support.
