Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialty pharmacy is seeking three experienced Certified Pharmacy Technicians for a contract opportunity focused on rare and orphan drug therapies. This role requires specialized expertise in navigating patient access, benefit coverage, and prior authorization processes within a specialty pharmacy or specialty PBM environment. Candidates must possess strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills to support high-touch interactions between providers and patients. Responsibilities: Assist patients and healthcare providers with benefit verification, prior authorizations, and access to specialty medications Support payment programs, including grants, rebates, and other financial assistance related to rare and expensive therapies Utilize McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system for specialty pharmacy operations Communicate effectively to manage complex clinical and administrative requirements Collaborate with the specialty pharmacy team to ensure compliance and optimal patient care Qualifications: Certified Pharmacy Technician with active licensure and national certification in good standing Proven experience in a designated specialty pharmacy or specialty PBM setting Strong knowledge of rare/orphan drug therapies and related specialty pharmacy processes Demonstrated ability to navigate coverage, benefits, and patient assistance programs Excellent communication and clinical skills to handle high-touch interactions Location: Jamaica, NY Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shift Contract Details: Immediate start 13-week contract with possible conversion to direct hire This position is ideal for those with a background in specialty retail, specialty mail order, or specialty PBM pharmacy environments.
